A few details up front help us quote accurately and set your cards up correctly the first time. Gyms, health clubs, sports clubs, associations and retail loyalty programs all follow the same simple process, whether you start at 250 cards or need 10,000+. Planning 2027 membership renewals? RSLs, bowls clubs and golf clubs can order barcoded, numbered member cards printed from a CSV or Excel file of member details.
Running events or managing a team as well? We also make Custom Name Badges for staff and events, custom printed lanyards for events and staff and Tyvek wristbands for event entry.

No. If you send print-ready artwork, we place it on our template, add your barcode, magnetic stripe or other details in the right spot, and email you a free PDF proof to approve. If you would like us to create the design, standard designs are $49 with no revisions or $99 with two revisions, and detailed, information-heavy designs are $79 with no revisions or $149 with two revisions.
Yes. Custom plastic keytags can be added alongside your member cards, which suits gyms, clubs and libraries that prefer a fob for the door. Gyms can order member keytags ahead of the January rush.
Supply your design at 86mm x 54mm with 3mm bleed on every edge (92mm x 60mm in total). It should be a CMYK, high-resolution (300dpi) PDF with all fonts outlined or converted to curves. Keep important text and images at least 3mm inside the edge of the card. We can send a template if that helps. If your file needs fixing before it can be printed, a minimum artwork charge applies, so please check the specs carefully.
Standard production is about 2 to 3 weeks from artwork approval and payment. Express production is available on orders of 1,000+ cards, taking about 7 business days at extra cost. When your order ships, we email you the tracking details.
Yes. We keep your artwork and previous numbering on file. Just email us with the quantity and any changes. We'll send a fresh mockup and invoice, and we can carry on numbering or barcodes from where your last order finished.
We print Code 128 (the most common), Code 39, EAN-13 and EAN-8 barcodes, as well as QR codes. With EAN-13, you get 12 digits plus a computer-generated check digit.
Yes, always. We email you a digital mockup (PDF) with your invoice. Please check it carefully and reply by email to approve it. Nothing goes into production until you approve. If anything needs changing, just reply and we'll send a revised mockup.
Yes. All of these are standard options.
Yes. Express production is available on orders of 1,000+ cards. It takes about 7 business days and costs extra. Tell us your deadline when you enquire and we'll confirm we can meet it before you order. The lead-up to Christmas is our busiest time, so please order early then.
Numbering prints a sequential number on each card (for example 0001 to 1000). Barcoding adds a scannable barcode, usually with the number printed underneath. You can have either one or both. Numbers can also be embossed (raised).
Yes. We can post you a free sample pack of our plastic cards and keytags so you can see and feel the quality. Just send us your street address. We can't print a single custom sample card, because setting up the machines for one card costs the same as setting up for a full run. For barcode cards, we can email a print-ready PDF so you can print it and test scan it on your system first.
Options include foil stamping (gold, silver and other metallic colours); matt varnish, which we recommend on solid black cards because it gives a matte look and stops the black from scratching; spot gloss UV, which is slightly raised and makes a logo stand out; embossed numbering; and clear or frosted plastic. Note that printing on clear or frosted plastic isn't as vibrant as printing on white.
Yes. We'll email a print-ready PDF that you can print and test scan on your own system before the order goes into production.
Just the starting number and the quantity, or a spreadsheet of your own codes. If you're reordering, we can continue from your last number.
Yes. We can punch a round hole or an elongated slot (lanyard slot). Matching lanyards are also available.
Code 128 can be anywhere from 4 to 16 digits.
They are standard credit card size (86mm x 54mm), printed in full colour on one or both sides, with rounded corners. Custom sizes (such as larger lanyard cards) and thinner stock can be made on request.
Yes. Many clubs split one run across several designs or colours. Just tell us how many of each design you need.
Yes. QR codes can be printed on their own or together with a barcode or number.
Yes. Cards can include RFID/NFC chips for door entry, turnstile and membership systems. Tell us what system or chip type you use.
Yes with Code 128 and Code 39, but not with EAN barcodes.
Yes. We can encode your information onto the stripe for you, or leave it blank so you can encode it yourself. We offer both hi-co (high coercivity) and lo-co (low coercivity) stripes.
